Before she went to India she studied Kathak in Moscow. After several years spent in India where she studied in Kathak Kendra being the disciple of a famous dancer Urmila Nagar (Jaipur gharana), she became a professional Kathak dancer. Now she teaches in Moscow and has her own group, she often gives lectures-demonstrations with Svetlana Ryzhakova in Oriental Museum in Moscow.
