The son of Kundan Lal Gangani, who was one of the founders of Jaipur gharana of Kathak. He travels a lot and teaches in different countries. For several years he had been teaching in Moscow in J. Nehru Cultural Centre which is working under the patronage of Indian embassy in Russia. During that time he traveled all around Russia giving performances, classes and seminars. Now Harish Gangani teaches in the school Gandharva Mahavidyalaya in New Delhi.
